As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Certified Pilates Teacher & Educator, and Golf Rehab Specialist, Ada Wells has helped thousands of patients and clients including sports/life enthusiasts, celebrities, high level athletes, and even other movement/rehab practitioners learn how to harness their own healing and performance potential by tapping into the fundamentals of high quality movement, alignment, and control.
Dr. Wells has 20+ years working as a physical therapist and educator in rehabilitation, fitness, and health education. She has owned her successful practice, ProBalance® Physical Therapy & Pilates in the SF Bay Area since 2004. In addition to her development of specialized sports rehabilitation & performance programs, Ada regularly speaks and educates on healthy lifestyle and exercise habits to a wide range of groups ranging from school-children to sailing enthusiasts to corporate clients.
Ada’s philosophy is that exercise is for everybody, but not every exercise is right for every body. Her attention to detail, given her thorough understanding of movement and the body’s potential, allows her to recognize and tap into the specific needs of each individual to get the results they want and that they deserve.
Dr. Wells is an educator for Polestar® Pilates, the highly respected comprehensive teacher training program developed by and for physical therapists and fitness Pilates professionals. She has also been a guest instructor on the Athletic Training Channel of Balanced Body® Podcasts and has presented nationally and internationally for Pilates on Tour®. Since 2003, she has had the opportunity to provide her services to a wide range of professional athletes and celebrities during with her experience in being part of the wellness teams at events such as the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, the US Open Golf Championships, and more.
During her free time, Ada can be found sailing or kayaking around the SF Bay, hiking somewhere gorgeous around the world, or just out running with her husband, Stefan, her 10 year old daughter, Anika, and terrier/chihuahua mix, Dotty.
